Dedh Ishqiya

My faith in Vishal Bhardwaj was re affirmed after watching Dedh Ishqiya. He us the master show man of the century. There were so many instances when I was splitting with laughter. The dialogues were crisp and the humour irresistible .

Madhuri aah Madhuri, what should I say, is the ultimate epitome of beauty and grace. Her smile can still launch a zillion ships. Her expressions , her dance, her class is yet to be seen elsewhere . Huma Qureshi plays her part to perfection and her performance is clean and confident. She's so pretty and not daunted by other heroines who concentrate more on their curves.

Arshad Warsi and Naseerudin Shah are the perfect gold diggers. Their chemistry infectious and performances hold the audience . The USP of the movie is the talented cast. The story is simple and straight. 

Gulzar has a special affinity for Vishal and seems to always do soulful and most meaningful work for him. The shayari is above par and the music beautiful. Rahat has sung zaban jale hain leaves you spell bound . The original thumri by Begum Akhtar invokes nostalgia and Rekha also does full justice to it. 

All in all a movie that inspired me to write a review. Watch it and go home with a warm feeling of love not lost...




I rate the movie 3 + 1 just for sheer talent and performances..
